Hunger vs appetite.
Most of us call it all "hunger", but there are really two things going on. Learning the difference is one of the most useful appetite skills you can build.
Hunger
Physiological. Builds slowly, is felt in the body, is satisfied by most foods, and settles once you eat.
Appetite
Psychological. Often sudden, tied to a specific food, and triggered by boredom, stress, smells, screens or social cues.
A 60-second check-in
- Pause and drink a glass of water.
- Ask: "Would I eat plain grilled chicken and vegetables right now?" If yes, it's hunger.
- If not, name the trigger — bored, tired, anxious, avoiding a task — and respond to that instead.
Foundational habits — sleep, protein, whole-food meals and Mediterranean-style fats — reduce both. OLEACORE® 300 mg OEA is designed to sit alongside those habits, not replace them.
